Due to this lack, the Council has assumed a passive role of waiting for the report to be tabled by our Kevin Williams in May or June this year. Any action taken will only be decided upon by Council after they have read the report. They will take Kevin's findings very seriously. They are keeping a close watch on proceedings via their active committee membership in the Growing Regional Opportunities for Work (G.R.O.W.) Council.
Marrickville Council has a small grants programme that is coming up in Oct/Nov 2000. $5 000 is the maximum amount of money available for any one grant. The total amount available is $40 000 and is only available to non-profit community groups.
